WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a local contract nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a local contract nursing job in Bronx, New York.

A busy hospital in the Bronx is seeking an experienced ICU RN for day or night shifts. This role offers the opportunity to provide critical care in a dynamic and rewarding environment.

Job Function:

• Night Shift.
• 7pm - 7:30am.

• Manage patients with External Ventricular Drains (EVD) and multiple medication drips, utilizing Hemosphere Flotrac monitoring.

• Provide care for trauma patients across varying levels of severity. Perform assessments using CAM, CPOT, and RASS tools.

• Deliver care for patients undergoing hypothermia treatment. Manage pleurevac chest tube drainage systems.

• Document patient information using Allscripts EMR. Adhere strictly to isolation precautions, including proper hand hygiene and “gel in, gel out” protocols.

• Operate and monitor Patient-Controlled Analgesia (PCA) pumps.

Job Requirements:

• BSN or higher degree from an accredited nursing school.

• RN license to practice in New York State or eligible by reciprocity.

• 3 years of ICU experience is a plus.

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS.

• Proficient in managing patients with EVD, multiple medication drips, and Hemosphere Flotrac.

• Experienced in using CAM, CPOT, and RASS for patient assessments.

• Familiar with pleurevac chest tube drainage systems.

• Experienced with Allscripts EMR.
