The ideal LVN will provide treatment, support, and general welfare services to individuals with intellectual disabilities and complex medical, mental health, and behavioral needs.Job Quick Facts:

Requirements:
  • Current and unencumbered LVN license issued in the State of Texas
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required; 2+ years preferred in long-term or developmental care
  • Valid CPR certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Meet all immunization requirements as outlined by the agency and facility
  • Must pass a urine drug screen and background check
  • Must successfully complete an FBI fingerprint background check
  • Negative COVID-19 test required
  • Completion of all pre-employment training mandated by the agency and facility
  • Valid photo ID must be presented at the time of interview
  • TB documentation must be provided at the time of interview
Responsibilities:
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with clinical guidelines
  • Monitor patients' health and promptly report changes to the supervising RN or physician
  • Accurately document care activities and complete computer-based data entry (training provided)
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory standards (e.g., ICF-IDD, facility SOPs)
  • Deliver compassionate, person-centered care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
