ATC Healthcare Services of Atlanta and Charleston is seeking a local contract Mammography Technologist for a local contract job in Atlanta, Georgia.

Position Requirements- Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification with M (Mammography) and R (Radiography) credentials.- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross.- Minimum of one year of paid experience as a Mammography Technologist (first-time travelers accepted).- Experience with 3-D Mammography, Diagnostic Mammograms, Screening Mammograms, Stereotactic Biopsies, and Fine Needle Aspirations preferred.- Familiarity with equipment such as Hologic 3D and GE systems and knowledge of radiation safety, isolation precautions, and universal precautions.- Prior experience working in inpatient and outpatient settings preferred.Job Responsibilities- Perform high-quality mammography examinations (screening and diagnostic) according to physician orders and established imaging protocols.- Prepare and position patients accurately to ensure optimal breast imaging while maintaining patient comfort and dignity.- Screen patients for mammography contraindications and collect relevant patient histories.- Assist with stereotactic biopsies and fine needle aspirations as required.- Adhere to ACR, FDA, and MQSA (Mammography Quality Standards Act) guidelines for image quality, quality control, and regulatory compliance.- Operate mammography equipment including 3D mammography units, CAD (computer-aided detection), and related imaging tools, ensuring proper radiation safety techniques at all times.- Collaborate with radiologists to review images and ensure diagnostic accuracy.- Educate patients about the mammography procedure, address concerns, and provide reassurance to reduce anxiety.- Maintain accurate documentation and upload imaging data into PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and electronic medical records (EMR).- Perform routine quality control checks and assist with accreditation and quality assurance activities.What is our culture?There are a few things we look for across all hires at ATC, regardless of role or team.First, we look for candidates who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and who will thrive in a culture that values teamwork, grit, and innovation.
