*ED Physicians Needed for the VA in San Diego, CA* *OVERVIEW: *We're hiring five (5) ED Physicians for the VA in San Diego, CA *LOCATION*: Jennifer Moreno VA Medical Center, 3350 La Jolla Village Drive, San Diego, CA 92161. *START DATE and DURATION:** The estimated start date is Nov 1st, 2025, currently planned through Oct 30th, 2030, with options to extend.* (Note: the duration is a contract between us and the Government. Like any other job, if life means you must leave, you just give us 60-day notice). *COMPENSATION *(Rates are listed as 1099, all inclusive):*** $260/hour* We cover Med Mal *SCHEDULE*:* 12-hour variable shifts (we are awaiting clarification on the specific shift times, but safe to say there is day, evening, and night)*QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS:** Any state license, full and unrestricted* Board Certified / Board Eligible * BLS, ACLS* DEA* Must be able to pass a background check as part of the VA's security process. *IF INTERESTED*: We need the following* CV* MD License* Board Certification or Eligibility verification* DEA Certificate *CORE DUTIES: *Responsible for providing care in the ED, including, but not limited to:** Evaluation, emergent treatment and management, inpatient admission* Stabilization and transfer* Consultation and referral responsibilities* Discharge education* Communication of test results *DEPARTMENT INFO*We are awaiting Government clarification on the points below, and will update asap* Number of trauma, regular, and fast track beds: forthcoming* Estimated daily and annual patient volume: forthcoming* Type of EMR: forthcoming* Average patient acuity: forthcoming* How many EM Physicians and Mid-Levels on each shift: forthcoming *ABOUT WANDER STAFFING:** Founded in 2018 by a retired Army officer* Not an agency.
