The purpose of the Public Archaeologist is to assist the NW Regional Center with the development and delivery of outreach programs, and the establishment of collaborative relationships between the Center and the public in northwest FL. (including local governments, students, volunteers, and civic organizations) Department FL Public Archeology Centers Network FLSA: Exempt Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in an appropriate area of specialization. Four years of direct experience may be substituted for a bachelors degree. Position Qualifications: Knowledge of the archaeological and historical resources in northwest Florida; knowledge and/or experience with public interpretation of cultural resources; advanced skill in interpersonal communication, public speaking, and working with volunteers.
