Data Engineers on the Enterprise Data Lake team at CarMax are responsible for providing reliable and business-critical data for analytics and machine learning use cases. This role involves close collaboration with Data Scientists, Data Analysts, and source system owners to design, build, and maintain data pipelines. Responsibilities include,Designing and developing systems for ingesting streaming and batch data using technologies such as Databricks and Azure ML. Creating new data pipelines to ingest and transform data. Classifying data in order to apply security policies in accordance with Carmax standards. Ensure data quality is part of the design and checks are implemented to maintain data quality. Drive root cause analysis of production issues. Assists in integrating diverse datasets and understanding data consumption patterns.
