Check it out and apply via iHireNursing today!Seniors Helping Seniors (Central East FL) is hiring an experienced Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide Personal Care (assistance with Activities of Daily Living such as bathing, toileting, eating, etc.). We hire mature adults (age 30+) to be our HHA caregivers because we believe that mature caregivers understand our clients' needs and values and build meaningful relationships with them. Whether you want to work 4 hours a week or 40, we are here to support you by giving you an opportunity to help seniors while earning income and maintaining your lifestyle and hobbies.Essential Job Functions/ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities of the Home Health Aide include, but are not limited to the following:BathingGrooming, including oral careAssist the client with dressing and undressingAssist the client with toileting activitiesAssist in feeding the client, if necessaryTake and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure)Measure and record height and weight, if necessary.Support good skin care to prevent skin breakdown (i.e. turn and repositionclient, actively encourage movement)Assist client with active and passive range of motions as defined by the plan ofcareProvide client with help walking and transferringObserve client's physical, mental and emotional conditions.Measure and document intake and output, if necessaryAssist client in the self-administration of medication (medication reminder)Perform light housekeepingPerform meal preparation and clean upChange bed linens and make up the client's bedDrive client to and from doctor appointments, run errands, etc. if neededQualifications
  • Mature individuals who consistently demonstrate patience, empathy, reliability, professionalism, a cheerful disposition, enthusiasm, and are personable. 30+ years old (helps with compatibility)
  • Successful completion of a Home Health Aide certification program
  • CPR certified
  • Willingness to work harmoniously with staff, clients, and client's family
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently during working hours. Able-bodied is a must
  • AHCA (Florida's Agency for Healthcare Administration) requires all caregivers to pass a background check. A fair amount of people knowingly or unknowingly are already cleared and we can easily help you check. If not, it's a simple process we'll walk you through.
Job Type: Part-timePay: $14.50 - $16.50 per hourExpected hours: No less than 20 per weekBenefits
