DEPARTMENT: Administration, Information Technology REPORTS TO: Vice President, Digital Delivery and Product ManagementCLASSIFICATION: ExemptSALARY: $80,000 - $90,000 per yearDATE: July 2025The Digital Project Manager plays a key role in coordinating IT initiatives across the organization, with a focus on Salesforce, website integrations, and broader digital transformation efforts. Reporting to the Vice President of Digital Delivery and Product Management, this role ensures the successful execution of projects through effective planning, stakeholder engagement, vendor coordination, and budget oversight.The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in project management, digital platforms, and CRM systems-particularly Salesforce-and is comfortable working across departments to align technology solutions with business goals. This position requires a proactive communicator, a detail-oriented planner, and a collaborative team player who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Project Management & Execution
- Plan, coordinate, and manage IT projects from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines.
- Serve as the primary liaison between IT, business units, and external partners to ensure clear communication and accountability.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and documentation to track progress and ensure transparency.
Stakeholder & Team Collaboration
- Facilitate regular communication with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, manage expectations, and provide project updates.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Advancement, and Education, to ensure digital solutions meet user needs.
Salesforce & Digital Platform Support
- Support the implementation and optimization of Salesforce and related digital tools, particularly in support of marketing and engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless integration between Salesforce, web platforms, and other systems.
Vendor & Partner Coordination
- Manage relationships with external vendors and consultants, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards, timelines, and contractual obligations.
- Coordinate vendor onboarding, scope definition, and performance evaluation.
Budget & Resource Management
- Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and report financial status to stakeholders.
- Assist in resource planning and allocation to ensure efficient use of internal and external capabilities.
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify potential project risks and issues early, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate when necessary to ensure project continuity.
Process Improvement & Best Practices
- Recommend and implement project management best practices, tools, and templates to improve efficiency and consistency across digital initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of internal standards and workflows for digital project delivery.
Training & Change Management
- Support training and onboarding for staff on new digital tools and systems.
- Assist in change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new technologies and processes.
Event & Mission Support
- Participate in key organizational events such as the Annual 5K Fundraiser and September 11th Commemoration.
- Provide digital support for special projects and mission-aligned initiatives as needed.
REQUIRED SUPPORT FOR ORGANIZATIONAL EVENTS
- Participate in the Annual 5K Fundraiser and September 11th Commemoration.
- Assist with other special projects and events in support of the 9/11 Memorial & Museum mission, as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIREMENT:Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Management, Digital Media, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in digital project management, preferably within an IT or nonprofit environment.
- Experience managing CRM platforms (especially Salesforce) and web-based solutions.
- Familiarity with digital transformation initiatives and cross-functional project delivery.
Project Management & Technical Skills
- Proficiency in project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid models.
- Hands-on experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Microsoft Project, Asana).
- Strong understanding of digital platforms, web technologies, and system integrations.
- Experience working with Salesforce, including basic configuration, reporting, or integration support, is highly desirable.
Communication & Collaboration
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and external partners.
- Proven ability to manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate productive discussions.

- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities with a keen attention to detail.

Certifications (Preferred but Not Required)
- PMP (Project Management Professional), CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management), or equivalent certification.
- Salesforce Administrator or related certification is a plus.
