Right of Way TechnicianDepartment: Corporate/AdministrativeEmployment Type: Full TimeLocation: Virginia Beach, VAReporting To: Troy SullivanDescriptionAt Rinker Design Associates, LLC, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Right of Way Technician. This is an entry-level opportunity, ideal for someone who is highly organized, eager to learn, and interested in building a career in infrastructure, land acquisition, or real estate. No prior experience is required-we will provide comprehensive training to help you succeed.Key Responsibilities
  • Support the acquisition of property rights necessary for infrastructure, utility, or development projects.
  • Assist in researching public records and property ownership to determine ownership and encumbrances.
  • Maintain organized, accurate records and documentation throughout the acquisition process.
  • Prepare and deliver communications to landowners, tenants, and stakeholders under supervision.
  • Work closely with project managers, legal teams, and surveyors to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive documents and information.
  • Prepare and present compensation offers, agreements, and or right-of-entry documentation to secure land rights, easements, or property purchases for public infrastructure projects.
  • Follow all company policies, applicable laws, and regulatory requirements.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree a plus.
  • No previous experience necessary-training will be provided.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required (may include occasional travel to job sites).
