Job Responsibilities

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to patients across all age groups during the night shift (6:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m., with rotating weekends). You'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team to assess, treat, and monitor individuals with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Responding to emergency situations, including all cardiopulmonary arrest calls, to provide airway management and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
  • Administering respiratory treatments such as oxygen therapy, nebulization, and aerosolized medications using a variety of delivery methods.
  • Performing arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and interpreting results in collaboration with physicians.
  • Managing mechanical ventilation, including setup, patient monitoring, and airway suctioning.
  • Conducting pulmonary function tests and sleep studies, explaining procedures and documenting results for physician use.
  • Maintaining respiratory therapy equipment, ensuring it is functioning safely and in compliance with sterilization protocols.
  • Serving as a resource to other Respiratory Therapists, nurses, and physicians to optimize patient care outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this Respiratory Therapist role, candidates must have:

  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care.
  • Current credentialing from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)-such as CRT or RRT.
  • Licensure from the Ohio Respiratory Care Board.
  • BLS certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire).
  • Excellent clinical judgment, critical thinking skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a patient-first mindset.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly Pay Range: $27.50 - $41.00, depending on experience and certification level.
  • Full-time night shift (6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.), including rotating weekends.
