Position Title Student Worker: Tutoring Lab Assistant Job Duties

The Tutoring Lab Assistant will primarily perform receptionist duties and will work closely with Tutoring Lab Staff to provide an inviting environment for all visitors. The overall purpose is to help maintain the operation of the lab and assist with instructing students in the use of tutoring lab technology and software applications, and monitoring student activities in the tutoring centers.

This person will work primarily on the El Dorado campus, in the Gayle Krause Learning Lab. Occasionally, student may be asked to work at the Andover campus location, 5000 Building/Student Union.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Required knowledge and skills

* Strong oral and written communication skills.

* Strong organizational skills.

* Computer knowledge (Word, Excel, etc)

* Familiar with academic support services (i.e. tutoring, workshops, dean/faculty information)

* Must be personable, task-oriented, responsible and resourceful.

Required experience

* Prior work experience

* Experience with data entry

Required educational background

Must be enrolled in at least 1 credit hour with Butler Community College.
