We are currently seeking a Head of Bridge Loan Asset Management, who will oversee a newly-created department responsible for the oversight and asset management of the bridge loan portfolio of the Greystone Senior Debt Fund. The Fund invests primarily in loans to owners of multifamily and seniors housing properties, underwritten to be repaid with permanent financing from Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA/HUD.

This individual will join a best-in-class bridge lending platform and will lead the effort to re-establish an internal bridge asset management function, currently performed under a third-party services contract expiring in 2025. Greystone's bridge lending platform has originated over $13 billion of bridge loans since 2004, managing a portfolio of 157 bridge loans with an aggregate principal balance in excess of $4 billion.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Report to the head of Greystone Servicing and re-establish/manage a department (8-10 professionals) overseeing the firm's bridge loan portfolio.
  • Monitor risk profiles and serve as the responsible party for all related deliverables and communications.
  • Review financial spreads, borrower draw packages, and property site inspections.
  • Process credit modifications, transfers, and non-assumption consents.
  • Work with borrowers and stakeholders to identify and resolve credit weaknesses, risks, and defaults.
  • Evaluate loans for watchlist inclusion.
  • Monitor borrower compliance with loan documents.
  • Prepare reports for management, investors, CLOs, and lenders.
  • Develop modification and workout plans for troubled loans.
  • Experience, Skills, and Abilities Required:
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role managing a $1b+ portfolio of floating-rate transitional loans, preferably in the bridge-to-Agency space.
  • Strong knowledge of real estate markets, especially multifamily and seniors housing.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • A sense of urgency, problem-solving ability, and adaptability.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, or related fields, with 15+ years of relevant experience; a master's degree is a plus.
