About the Work Unit. The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has an opening for an Professional Engineer I with our Region 5 Traffic and Safety team in Durango. The Traffic and Safety team delivers capital traffic and safety engineering projects, delivers maintenance projects, provides traffic engineering review and support to the local agency and permits unit, provides traffic engineering review and support for capital engineering projects, and responds to traffic and safety related customer concerns. About the Position. This position is a fully-operational licensed engineer applying engineering theories, principles, and standards to the delivery of traffic and safety capital engineering projects and maintenance projects.
