ATX Manufacturing General Manager
Profile
The Manufacturing General Manager (MGM) is a key leadership position with responsibility for leading a successful automatic transmission manufacturing plant in Cibolo, Texas. Salary ranges between $130,000-$150,000 depending on experience.
MGM is responsible for the manufacturing and production of complex automotive components that support the automotive industry. Additionally, the MGM establishes and maintains productive and effective relationships with management and department managers that foster a successful production environment that is centered on quality and safety best practices.
Responsibilities
1. Responsible for the overall production of quality products that meet the Company's operational short- and long-term business goals.
2. Fosters a positive work environment centered on compliance and continuous improvement.
3. Engages and motivates management and team members to follow and adhere to Company objectives regarding quality, safety, environment, and information security.
4. Evaluates and monitors operations ability to meet production, regulatory standards and recommends corrective actions needed to meet Company operation goals.
5. Oversees the manufacturing process of automotive transmissions and/or other automotive products that meet 100% of the Company's quality standards.
6. Lead manufacturing projects and influence team members to adhere to company environmental, health and safety standards such as cleanliness, ergonomics, standard operating procedures, required maintenance and inspections of equipment, temperature, noise, and overall safe working conditions.
7. Works closely with Human Resources by providing key information that helps create and maintain a work environment that attracts, motivates and retains quality team members.
8. Creates, manages, and monitors the operations financial goals such as manufacturing budgets, equipment, inventory, assets, profit, delivery, cost, scrap, manpower, additive value of products, etc.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's Degree and minimum 10 years manufacturing experience. Mechanical Engineer experience preferred.
2. Minimum 5 years manufacturing management experience
3. Minimum 5 years of experience in a company with over 100 employees
4. Ability to develop standard manufacturing procedural documents
5. Knowledge of automotive manufacturing industry, total quality management systems and best practices
6. Leadership track record and good understanding of Servant Leadership concepts.
7. Effective oral and written communications skills
