Position Summary:
Aegis Worldwide is partnered with an industrial manufacturer outside of Atlanta, GA who is looking to add a Capital Project Manager to oversee their Capital Expenditure Projects. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and execute multiple large-scale capital expenditure (CapEx) projects. The ideal candidate will simultaneously manage 10+ complex projects ranging in budget from $35 million to $100 million, ensuring safe, on-time, and within-budget delivery. Although this role has no direct reports, the Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams assigned per project, working closely with internal stakeholders, contractors, vendors, and EHS personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full lifecycle of multiple CapEx projects, from concept development through commissioning and close-out.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and risk assessments using Project Management Software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent).
- Lead project teams made up of engineering, procurement, operations, and construction personnel for each assigned project.
- Coordinate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders including vendors, contractors, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure all project activities comply with company standards, safety regulations, and environmental health and safety (EHS) policies.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on project status, risks, and financial performance.
- Manage contractor performance and negotiate vendor contracts to meet quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement in project execution methodologies, cost control, and risk mitigation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline (Master's or PMP Certification preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of direct CapEx project management experience, ideally within industrial, chemical, manufacturing, or heavy industry environments.
- Proven ability to manage large budgets ($35M–$100M) and multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of EHS requirements, regulatory compliance, and construction site safety best practices.
- Demonstrated experience working with vendors, contractors, and third-party service providers.
- Proficient in Project Management Software (e.g., MS Project, SmartSheet, or equivalent).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel to project sites as required.
