Job Description :

I'm looking for an experienced Senior Controls Engineer to join a global Automation company based in Boston, Massachusetts. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to work on high-impact projects for key customers, while leading teams and sharpening their skills in design, coding, emulation, and commissioning of complex systems.

This is a hands-on engineering role with leadership responsibilities, ideal for someone who's motivated, self-driven and comfortable taking ownership of controls engineering work from design through to commissioning.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the design and delivery of complex automation systems, including hardware and software integration
  • Develop material specifications, schematics, and bill of materials
  • Recommend ideas for improving productivity, reducing costs, and boosting customer satisfaction
  • Solve technical challenges and guide others through complex problems
  • Own projects throughout their life cycle - from planning and documentation to execution and forecasting
  • Build and manage robust staffing and execution plans
  • Take accountability for successful project delivery and budget management
  • Commission systems on-site and resolve electrical/control issues as needed
  • Work independently on critical tasks while collaborating with internal teams and customers

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in controls engineering
  • Strong understanding of warehouse automation, conveyors and sortation systems
  • Proficient in Allen-Bradley PLCs (experience with Siemens is a plus)
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and commissioning controls systems
  • Comfortable leading technical teams and managing project budgets
  • Able to travel up to 40% domestically depending on project needs
