JOB DESCRIPTION

The Commercial Contract Specialist is responsible for preparing, reviewing, negotiating, and managing contracts to ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards. This role plays a critical part in minimizing risk and maximizing value in commercial contractual relationships between Nanosonics and Customers. Additionally, this role works heavily with the sales team and other internal stakeholders to protect Nanosonics' business and generate growth opportunities.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts including but not limited to rental agreements, non-standard terms and conditions, nondisclosure agreements, service agreements, purchase agreements, and any other contract request submitted through Nanosonics' contract management system.
  • Ensure all contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with legal, procurement, finance, sales team and other business units to align contract terms with organizational goals, policies and procedures.
  • Maintain centralized contract repository and track contract lifecycles, including key contract milestones and obligations.
  • Assist in resolving contract-related disputes and escalate when appropriate.
  • Monitor contract performance and ensure timely renewals or terminations.
  • General understanding and ability to reinforce contract management best practices.
  • Ability to represent Nanosonics' interests on calls with Customer during negotiations.
  • Input contractual pricing and obligations into organization's ERP system to ensure performance expectations are met during the contract term.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Law, or a related field preferred. Paralegal or Legal Assistant experience a plus. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • 2–5 years of experience in contract management, legal, or procurement roles.
  • Strong understanding of contract law and legal terminology.
  • Experience writing contracts and/or other legal documents.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in contract management software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., healthcare, government, finance).
  • Familiarity with international contracts and cross-border legal considerations.

Position is located in the Indianapolis, IN office, reporting to the Commercial Contract Manager

Salary range is $67,700 to $76,000 annual salary
