Local government agency is seeking a full-time Infrastructure Planning and Asset Management Coordinator to join our Public Works Administration Department. This key position is responsible for the development, coordination, and implementation of the City's asset management programs, capital improvement initiatives, facility maintenance strategies, conservation efforts, and utility infrastructure planning.
The role integrates asset inventory management, GIS mapping, hydraulic modeling, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance to improve infrastructure sustainability, efficiency, and resilience. The position involves close collaboration with engineering, operations, maintenance, finance, and logistics teams, as well as engagement with external stakeholders and the public.
Minimum Requirements:
-Bachelors in municipal infrastructure planning, engineering, or operations, finance, logistics, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
-Three to five (3-5) years of experience in a technical leadership role related to public infrastructure, utilities, or similar fields
-Three to five (3-5) years of experience in asset management; capital planning, infrastructure maintenance, logistics, finance, or major project coordination
-Experience with project management, inventory, or asset management systems, and quality assurance processes
-Understanding of GIS mapping and hydraulic modeling tools
Preferred Requirements:
-Municipal government, utility sector, or public infrastructure experience
-Acquaintance with sustainability and resilience planning principles
-Familiarity with regulatory compliance and financial planning for capital projects and operational programs
-Awareness of Civil 3D or similar design software
-Understanding of, or belts in optimization processes such as LEAN or Six Sigma
-Certifications such as AICP, PE, PMP, GISP, CQE, or AM
Job Duties:
-Lead the City's asset management program, including system inventory, lifecycle planning, condition assessments, and prioritization of maintenance and capital improvements
-Coordinate infrastructure planning initiatives, including streets, utilities, stormwater systems, and transportation facilities
-Participate in the planning and review of public infrastructure projects, oversee and coordinate when appropriate
-Promote infrastructure efficiency and sustainability through integrated data analysis and cross-departmental collaboration
-Support public works contract administration and assist in developing technical reports, grant applications, and funding proposals
-Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure transparency, accountability, and community alignment
