The Reliability Manager is responsible for improving asset uptime by developing and implementing reliability engineering processes that resolve the root causes of equipment failures and drive the improvements in safety and reliability through the development and utilization of a Reliability Road Map. This position will supervise a Reliability Engineer and hourly maintenance/production team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and optimize preventative and predictive maintenance systems to minimize equipment downtime in all areas of the facilities – the Reliability Road Map
- Develop maintenance personnel to safely and effectively utilize those systems to meet business objectives
- Evaluate, implement, and systematically incorporate new technology to improve reliability
- Utilize root cause failure analysis to identify predictive and appropriate maintenance procedures
- Provide technical expertise for equipment maintenance, maintenance standards, and operating procedures for facility equipment
- Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and eliminate equipment reliability issues
- Apply the concepts of precision maintenance to ensure the equipment is designed, repaired, balanced, and aligned to strictly enforce standards before being placed in service
- Re-engineer/redesign unreliable or failure-prone equipment to meet expected operating performance
- Benchmark with other facilities & industries to implement best practices around reliability
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology or the equivalent training and/or experience
- 3+ years' experience in maintenance or reliability in a manufacturing setting
- Prior paper machine experience is a major benefit
- Prior knowledge or experience with boiler operations is preferred
- Technical knowledge and experience in reliability engineering and maintenance methods
- Demonstrated ability and desire to identify improvement opportunities. Take ownership to drive the implementation of solutions to produce positive results.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and apply a risk-based decision-making process
- Previous knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office, and Outlook
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, problem-solving solving and decision-making skills
- Creativity in identifying solutions and the ability to delegate decision-making and other responsibilities
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Driven to produce results
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Safety Freak (own it, expect it, drive it)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Work downtimes, holidays, and weekends as scheduled
- Possess ambulatory capabilities to walk extensively and climb ladders and stairways
- Be able to tolerate temperature extremes

Work Schedule and Location
- Location: 707 Arlington Pl, Stevens Point, WI (On-Site)
- Schedule: Monday through Friday. Must be able to work outside hours as business needs dictate
