Akkodis is seeking several EV District Operations Specialists (Project Managers) for full-time hybrid (25% in office) positions with our dedicated team as we're partnered with the leader for building the largest national infrastructure for electric vehicle “Fueling Stations of the Future” by investing in a range of current and future charging technologies that will provide open and ubiquitous access to EV drivers along highways, in metro areas, at multi-unit dwellings, at workplaces, and through new mobility programs.

Candidates must possess a degree along with greater than 2 years of professional experience in operations, project management, program management, or trade expertise, Ideally with a PMP or CAPM. Any knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and/or background with construction drawings is beneficial.

Pay Range: $50,000 to $90,000/yr (pay commensurate based on experience, education, geographic locations, and other factors).

EV District Operations Specialist (Project Manager) job responsibilities include:

  • The District Operations Specialist (DOS) will have a geographical territory they directly manage, as follows:
  • Maximizing revenue by advocating for optimal charger availability, throughput, and site aesthetics
  • Minimizing cost by looking for ways to consolidate work orders, choose efficient vendors, and hold service providers accountable to exceptional standards.
  • P&L accountability by influencing the organization to make decisions which affect profitability of sites to which they're assigned.
  • Using all available sources of tools and data, intervene quickly and efficiently to address maintenance issues at assigned locations and at locations outside of assigned area as needed by the business.
  • Management of the entire operational (post construction) lifecycle for assigned ELAM and ELCA locations:
  • Manage the commissioning projects within the assigned territory to ensure they're completed properly, in minimal time with the highest availability post-opening. (KPI=Charger-Days)
  • Ensure new locations are inspected prior to expiration of contract warranty, resolve open items with the construction team.
  • Keep sites available, appealing, safe, maintained (including preventative maintenance) and within compliance of evolving technical requirements through campaign execution. (KPI=Availability)
  • Using standardized scopes of work, along with custom-curated scopes: Dispatch the appropriate workers to the site, manage their performance, review their findings and follow-up on issues as necessary.
  • Spot trends and make proactive decisions to resolve the root causes of issues and not just symptoms, for example, identifying poor power quality when frequent power supplies fail.
  • Make efficient operational decisions affecting the prioritization, routing, and handling of maintenance to improve Availability and minimize cost. (KPI=Cost per Charger)
  • Resolve outages by coordinating with the Utility, Supply Chain, Engineering, Energy Services, Field Service and other teams as necessary.
  • Be the accountable person for any open topics affecting sites within assigned territory, such as resolving violations, zoning issues, coordination with inspectors, hardware upgrade projects, site relocation or decommissioning and similar concerns.
  • Travel to sites as needed to evaluate the effectiveness of the operation and implement organizational changes as necessary to improve KPIs.
  • 25% in-office, 60% remote based on business needs, as approved by manager; 15% travel.

Main responsibility – assign % of time spent

  • Ensuring that the RM and DM team operate their locations with optimal efficiency – 25%
  • Operate own sites with optimal efficiency – 50%

Additional responsibilities – assign % of time

  • Organizational process improvement – 10%
  • Travel throughout ELAM and ELCA as needed to assess operations – 15%

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates or bachelor's degree is required. Electrical trade or engineering majors are ideal.
  • Greater than 2 years of professional experience with a background in Project or Program management.
  • Ability to read construction drawings
  • Prior service operational management experience
  • Working knowledge of electrical device function to be able to diagnose and troubleshoot issues with assets
  • Team management in a fast-paced high-tech environment.

  • EV Industry support experience
  • Experience reviewing hardware log files to diagnose issues
  • PMP® or CAPM ®
