The Risk Technology team is responsible for designing, integrating, and supporting Middle Office Risk systems in the organization. The team supports both Market and Credit Risk management across EMEA, North America, and Asia Pacific regions, focusing on the production of various simulation-based measures used in managing risk and calculating economic capital. The third-party S&P Global Financial Risk Analytics (FRA) simulation and pricing engine provides cross-asset coverage to calculate both market risk and credit risk measures. An in-house .NET-based application layer integrates the FRA into MUFG proprietary systems. Risk Technology has evolved rapidly over the last few years due to new regulations and industry changes introduced post the financial crisis. The Risk projects require large-scale changes to the organization's technical infrastructure, including the Risk platform.
