The Director, Retail Pharmacy Network is responsible, as part of a team effort, in the planning, organizing, and directing the legal, professional, administrative, and financial functions of the UPMC Retail Pharmacy Network. This network includes the UPMC hospital-based pharmacies and the UPMC central fill pharmacy. The purpose of the network is to promote safe and cost-effective pharmaceutical care through distribution of prescriptions from all UPMC covered entities and the University of Pittsburgh. Incumbent must have effective interpersonal skills in dealing with executive leadership, medical staff, clinical department administrators, managers, and staff. Incumbent must possess the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take the initiative to investigate and resolve problems using sound judgment.
