Senior Advisor for Academic Affairs Messaging and Strategic Outreach (Salary Revised)
POSITION DETAILS
The Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor and University Provost (EVC/UP) provides strategic academic leadership across The City University of New York?s (CUNY) 25 institutions, overseeing academic policies, 1,400+ programs, and key initiatives that enhance academic quality, student success, and equitable access to education.
Reporting to the EVC/UP and partnering closely with CUNY?s Office of Communications and Marketing (OCM), the Senior Advisor for Academic Affairs Messaging and Strategic Outreach serves as a key advisor to the EVC/UP, overseeing executive messaging and internal communications for the Office of Academic Affairs (OAA).
This role develops and implements comprehensive internal communication frameworks and marketing strategies to enhance the visibility and impact of OAA initiatives. The Senior Advisor manages a team responsible for program communications and content development, ensuring that messaging aligns with institutional priorities and reaches key audiences effectively.

Minimum:
Bachelor's Degree and eight years' related experience required.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The salary range is $132,248 - $141,086 , commensurate with credentials, education, and experience.
CUNY is in the process of implementing salary schedule increases. Once implemented, salaries of eligible employees will be adjusted by 6.09% with additional increases of 3.25% effective 9/1/2025 and 3.5% effective 9/1/26, in accordance with the terms of the PSC-CUNY collective bargaining agreement.
