American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with acute care experience for an inpatient setting, requiring flexibility and strong communication skills.Job Details• Position based in an inpatient therapy unit,• Primarily treats adults with the possibility of some older pediatric patients,• Expected caseload is typically 10-12 patients per day, with a total therapy caseload in the 140s,• Utilizes Meditech for charting, as well as gait belts, assistive devices, lift devices, and adaptive equipment,• Works day shift with weekend requirements of 1-2 weekends per month,• Coverage may include all areas of the hospital,Job Requirements• Current BLS certification required,• Active state OT license required if applicable,• Previous acute care experience required,• Critical care experience preferred but not required,• Strong communication skills and flexibility are necessary,Additional Information• Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients, discharge recommendations, and working closely with therapy team and ancillary departments,• Candidates will receive orientation with staff for each unit or similar units,• Scrubs are acceptable attire but avoid colors in use by other departments or business casual may be worn,• On-call must be pre-approved by unit or department manager and follows facility policy,• Only candidates living within 50 miles of zip code 83814 are eligible
