We're seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurse to join our team on a contract basis. Position Overview: We are looking for a Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurse to provide comprehensive mental health care to our senior clients. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our growing mental health program and make a significant impact on the lives of older adults. Hours: 5-10 hours per week Pay: negotiable Key Responsibilities: - Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments - Develop and implement treatment plans for senior clients - Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications - Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care - Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation - Participate in case conferences and treatment team meetings - Contribute to the development of mental health programs for seniors Qualifications: - Current New York State license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with a specialization in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing is preferred - Board Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) - DEA registration for prescribing medications - Experience working with older adults strongly preferred - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Proficiency with telehealth platforms and willingness to conduct virtual sessions - Familiarity with Medicare billing procedures is a plus Why Join Us: - Flexible contract work arrangement - Competitive compensation - Opportunity to shape innovative mental health programs for seniors - Collaborative and supportive work environment - Professional development opportunities
