Town of Vernon Job Title: Civil Engineer Salary: $89,735.36 - $104,027.87 Bargaining Unit: Professional (view contract online: General Statement of Duties: Selects and applies standard civil engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to a variety of public works planning, construction, design and land surveying projects; provides technical assistance and consultation to town departments, boards, and commissions; inspects construction projects. Assumes responsibility for unit in absence of Town Engineer. Supervision Received: Receives general supervision from the Town Engineer. Organizes and plans work according to standard procedures. Works with independence, and establishes priorities within work assignment. Reports work accomplished to the Town Engineer.
