As an Entry-Level Phlebotomist, you will:
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, maintaining high production standards and facility integrity.
- Provide exceptional customer service that creates positive experiences for donors.
- Maintain a clean and professional work environment.
- Review and confirm donor identification while upholding confidentiality standards.
- Prepare equipment and supplies for venipuncture and plasmapheresis procedures.
- Accurately label and document units and samples.
- Perform venipunctures and plasma collection, ensuring the highest quality and safety.
- Operate automated plasmapheresis machines, managing alerts and documenting any anomalies.
- Monitor donor conditions to ensure their comfort and safety while ensuring quality plasma production.
- Dispose of biohazardous waste while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct regular maintenance and calibration of plasmapheresis machines.
- Report any unsafe conditions to management promptly.
- Maintain inventory and replenish supplies as needed.
- Contribute to training efforts to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Perform other job-related tasks as necessary.
What You Need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
- Certification or licensing based on state regulations is necessary.
- Preferred: Minimum of three months' experience in a medical or healthcare setting.
- Strong customer service abilities and effective communication skills.
- Basic computer skills and ability to follow protocols accurately.
- Ability to document accurately and understand safety regulations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
