As an Entry-Level Phlebotomist, you will:

  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, maintaining high production standards and facility integrity.
  • Provide exceptional customer service that creates positive experiences for donors.
  • Maintain a clean and professional work environment.
  • Review and confirm donor identification while upholding confidentiality standards.
  • Prepare equipment and supplies for venipuncture and plasmapheresis procedures.
  • Accurately label and document units and samples.
  • Perform venipunctures and plasma collection, ensuring the highest quality and safety.
  • Operate automated plasmapheresis machines, managing alerts and documenting any anomalies.
  • Monitor donor conditions to ensure their comfort and safety while ensuring quality plasma production.
  • Dispose of biohazardous waste while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and calibration of plasmapheresis machines.
  • Report any unsafe conditions to management promptly.
  • Maintain inventory and replenish supplies as needed.
  • Contribute to training efforts to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Perform other job-related tasks as necessary.

What You Need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
  • Certification or licensing based on state regulations is necessary.
  • Preferred: Minimum of three months' experience in a medical or healthcare setting.
  • Strong customer service abilities and effective communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to follow protocols accurately.
  • Ability to document accurately and understand safety regulations.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
