Insight Global is hiring an Elevator and Crane Supervisor to join the construction services team at Con Edison. This is a 6 month contract to hire opportunity with the potential to convert to a full time position dependent on performance in the role and business needs. The position takes place 5 days a week onsite at their fabrication shop in Van Nest, Bronx. Day to day in this position, the supervisor will be working closely with the director of elevator and crane services to oversee a crew of 10 elevator mechanics. On an average week, the supervisor can expect to travel to field sites across Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, Manhattan, and Westchester 3 times a week a personal vehicle and active drivers license is an absolute requirement to do so. While onsite, the supervisor will be directly overseeing daily work of the elevator mechanics around equipment operational readiness. If starting this position with a CET license - it is required that this person tests for and acquires their CET-S accreditation after a year in the position - the purpose being, as new mechanics come in, the supervisor will then play a pivotal role in getting them qualified for their NYS Elevator Mechanics License. In this position, there is an aspect of administrative requirements as well involving managing time, conducting performance reviews with the crew, payroll, and other tasks. Required Skills & Experience- 4+ years of experience in the elevator/crane industry- 2+ years of experience with supervisory skills- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office- Work, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.- Holds an active CET Certification and is willing/able to apply to test for CET-S within a year of employment- Current driver's license and reliable vehicle/transportation to travel to field sites Nice to Have Skills & Experience- Bachelor's degree, Associate degree, or any advanced education certifications- NYS Elevator Mechanics License- Active CET-S Certification Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
