If this sounds like you, then we need to talk...Frazer, a leading builder of emergency medical vehicles, is currently seeking a Production Supervisor, Electrical to join our team. The Production Supervisor, Electrical at Frazer reports to the Production Control Manager, and is responsible for organizing, coordinating, and supervising the activities and personnel in the Electrical Department and responsible for wiring and integrating electrical systems in Emergency Medical Service vehicles. This position ensures that electrical installations are completed safely, on time, and according to quality and compliance standards. The supervisor must lead the team effectively, resolve technical issues, and collaborate cross-functionally to support production goals.What Does a Week in the Life of the Production Supervisor, Electrical Look Like?
  • Plans and communicates the sequence of work with daily due dates based on the overall production schedule, parts availability, and staffing.
  • Determines which units need to be completed over the next 1-2 weeks.
  • Coordinates parts orders, outsourcing, and staffing needs.
  • Schedules work and assigns daily completion deadlines.
  • Monitors, analyzes, and works to reduce departmental defects per unit.
  • Resolves issues related to engineering, scheduling, and purchasing, including unit questions, BOM corrections, and part expediting.
  • Ensures materials are issued and job operations are completed in Syteline/Shop-Trak.
  • Confirms that required material quantities match issued quantities daily.
  • Works with Engineering to resolve any BOM issues.
  • Verifies that team members have signed off on all job tasks in Job Manager daily.
  • Plans and coordinates outside processes in collaboration with the purchasing department.
  • Meets daily with the QC team to review defect types, identify root causes of high-frequency defects, and determine actions to reduce or eliminate them.
  • Monitors individual employee performance and provides training or counseling as needed.
  • Keeps team leaders and members informed of schedules and priorities.
  • Holds daily huddles with team leaders after production meetings to agree on work sequences and current priorities.
  • Promotes and enforces a Safety First mindset, ensuring good housekeeping at all times.
  • Ensures team leads enforce safety and housekeeping policies.
  • Starts each day with a Safety Moment and predetermined stretches.
  • Leads by example in supporting safety initiatives and training needs.
  • Monitors and approves time and attendance, as well as PTO requests.
  • Monitors daily attendance of team members clocked in each morning using UKG.
  • Ensures all employees are clocked in or logged in the Call In Log.
  • Reviews and discusses PTO requests with employees, approving or denying as appropriate.
  • Ensures the team has the necessary resources to complete work efficiently and on time, including tools, parts, accurate job notes/information, and properly trained personnel.
  • Measures and monitors team and individual performance, reviewing metrics weekly, including:
  • On-time completion and safety skills.
  • Labor utilization (job hours vs. UKG paid time) by person.
  • Time charged to job operations by job and by person.
  • Defects per unit per work center/person.
  • Cross-training skills competency matrix.
  • Attendance points.
  • Encourages accountability and discipline among team members.
  • Ensures team leads fulfill their responsibilities and team members follow processes, demonstrating continuous improvement.
  • Recognizes and praises team members for good performance.
  • Coaches and applies progressive discipline to team members not meeting expectations or violating policies.
  • Works with Human Resources to post, interview, and hire for open positions.
  • Requests temporary help from other departments as needed.
  • Manages a cross-training program for tasks within the department.
  • Conducts regular discussions and periodic reviews with team leads and members.
  • Completes annual evaluations on time for all team leads and members.
  • Secondary Duties:
  • Takes active responsibility during emergency evacuations.
  • Participates in daily staff meetings.
  • Assists in the shared duty of opening/closing the facility.

    • High School Education Diploma/GED required
    • Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
    • Clean driving record and ability to be added to the company insurance.
    • At least 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or service shop environment.
    • At least 3+ years experience in a leadership role leading teams of 5 or more.
    Preferred Education and Experience:
    • Some university studies preferred
    • Completion of Safety Classes (OSHA 10 or OSHA 40 class or equivalent)
    • Lean Six Sigma / Manufacturing training
    • Previous experience managing employee time and attendance

Frazer offers competitive pay and this role will start with a salary between $73,000-$94,000 annually depending on education, certifications, and experience.Work Schedule The Production Supervisor, Electrical will work Monday to Friday, 5:00 AM-1:30 PM.
