Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Three years of experience in the design, construction or management of construction projects are required. A State of Florida Professional Engineer license, State of Florida Registered Architect license, certificate issued by State of Florida or Miami-Dade County as a General Contractor's, General Building Contractor or General Engineering Contractor's, or Certificate of Eligibility in General Engineering or General Building may substitute for the required education.Recruitment NotesThis is professional and administrative work in the management of building construction projects for the county. Employees in this class are responsible for authorizing and monitoring the work of architectural and engineering consultants and contractors engaged in the design and construction of a variety of county buildings and related facilities. Emphasis of the work in on the management of various projects through all phases of development including planning, consultant selection, design management, selection of contractor, construction management, inspection and warranty administration.Temporary/Grant Funded Position. Employment in this role is contingent upon a successful Level 2 background check.
