Talent Responsibilities Summary of Key Responsibilities :Operates Cable Machinery in accordance with operating specifications Set up and operates multiple types of cable machinery. This is including braiders, horizontal taping machines, vertical taping machines, cable etchingmachine, etc. Use of chemicals and solvents occasionally Adheres to all company policies and procedures Use measuring devices such as snap gauges and dial calipers to ensure cable is in spec Adheres to all company safety requirements and procedures Monitors the machinery to ensure proper performance of machines and how they impact the creation of the in-process cable Inspect cable for defects Measure cable to determine accuracy of machine operation Informs Cable Engineer if the product falls outside the documented limits Understand and follow SDS (Safety Data Sheets) Wear proper PPE to ensure employee safety Maintains the workspace in conformance with the Company's 5S methodology Assemble all cable tests swiftly, keeping quality in mind to ensure electrical test results are accurate Work with Cable Engineer to determine if electrical test performance is caused due to faulty cable/connectors; re-installing new connectors if necessary Assist cable operators with daily business such as fixing bobbins, cleaning machinery, packaging cable, etc All other relevant duties as assignedTalent Profile Education: High school diploma or its equivalent Experience: Minimum of 1 year relevant work experience as a machine operator Minimum of 1 year working in a factory setting Minimum of 1 year in assembly, preferably cable assembly Skills/Knowledge: Effective and clear communication Attention to detail Capable of handling multiple tasks in parallel Fast learner Personal Qualifications: Ability to read and use measuring devices such as snap gauges and dial caliper Mechanically inclined Ability to ask for help Ability to prioritize and plan Excellent communication and teamwork Ability to multi-task and problem solve Ability to handle change effectively Ability to manage customers and peers with tact and diplomacy Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds Ability to exercise cultural awareness and sensitivity Physical/Mental Abilities: Able to lift and move material/spools of finished product up to 60 lbs. (Assistance using lifting equipment when necessary) Able to wear a full-face respirator for short periods of time when necessary Able to wear proper PPE including but not limited to; Gloves, safety glasses, respirator, mask, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, non-slip shoes, hazmat smock Must have the physical and mental abilities needed to perform all essential tasks listed; reasonable accommodations may be made to help the job holder perform essential tasks Must be able to work and respond well under sometimes stressful and demanding work conditionsWhy HUBER+SUHNER? This is not a guarantee of compensation, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
