If those values sound like you, keep reading!Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform quality checks on products and raw materials
- Micro-testing of products to ensure microbiological safety and quality
- Assist in maintain quality control equipment and lab
- Work with the team to implement corrective actions based on testing results
- Follow standard operating procedures for Quality/Food Safety Department
- Batching small laboratory samples
- Conduct microbiological tests on concentrates and juices
Qualifications:
- Associate's or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Familiarity with laboratory environment and testing
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Conduct analytical and organoleptic tests on incoming raw materials for manufacturing
- Conduct analytical and organoleptic tests on incoming concentrates from our Co-Packers
- Analytical testing to include pH, Refractive Index/Brix, and acid titration
- Organoleptic testing to include taste, odor, and appearance
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or Food Science from a four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient with word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Preferred:
- Experience in a food manufacturing plant
- Familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
