Inclusive Education Coordinator - St. Mary St. Mary Catholic School is seeking a faith-filled, academic specialist willing to carry out the mission of inclusive education. The Inclusive Education Coordinator will work with students who have a wide range of learning, mental, emotional, and physical disabilities. They can help to modify general education lessons in various subjects, such as reading, writing, and math, to students with mild and moderate disabilities. The IEC will work with teachers to co-teach and coach lessons aligned with the Universal Design for Learning. Duties may include, but are not limited to: - Providing direct support or instruction to students in a classroom to ensure learning through a variety of co-teaching models and strategies. - Developing an Individual Services Plan (ISP) for students regarding the accommodations needed for the education of students with disabilities. Ensure that appropriate accommodations to the curriculum, lessons, and learning environment are carried out with fidelity. - Working collaboratively with teachers and grade-level teams to plan, share student work, and ensure that instruction is aligned with identified curriculum and standards. - Building a partnership with families, encouraging their active participation in students' learning. Lead the CARE Team - discuss classroom needs with teachers? Form intervention groups within classrooms? Secure testing proctors as needed? Teach the Study Skills Elective during First Trimester to 5th-grade students Ideal Candidate:? Holds a Bachelor's degree in education or related field? Is willing to pursue licensure or certification? Has experience teaching or working with elementary students? Is a practicing Catholic with knowledge of the Catholic faith? Has strong classroom management and a heart for Catholic education This is a part-time, hourly position in a truly special school community, with the opportunity to make a long-term impact on students' lives. Salary Description $17-$25 hourly rate depending on experience
