The role involves diagnosing and treating tooth pain and dental pulp diseases. You will perform root canal treatments and other surgical procedures to address dental pulp issues. Adherence to protocols and regulations for infection control is essential to protect patients and staff. You will use dental imaging technology to examine teeth and diagnose conditions. Applying protective substances to teeth, such as sealants or whiteners, is part of the responsibilities. You will explain dental procedures and discuss treatment options with patients. Referrals to other dental specialists may be necessary. Prescribing medications to treat dental and oral diseases is required. Monitoring patients' progress and adjusting treatments as needed is also part of your duties. Patient dental records must be maintained diligently. A microscope will be available for your use.
