The ideal candidate will oversee the efficient procurement and management of industrial gas supply resources to support the business objectives of the client.
The Basics:
- Bachelor's degree in law, Operations Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or experience equivalent
- 5+ years' experience in purchasing industrial and natural gas
- Experience with negotiating and executing supplier contracts
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong communication skills with internal and external customers
The Extras:
- Solid understanding of Alabama contract law
- Steel manufacturing procurement experience a plus
- Experience in purchasing electricity

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Develop suppliers and supply chains for natural gas, electricity, and industrial gasses in cooperation with ArcelorMittal North America
- Negotiate supply contracts and execute spot purchases
- Make financial decisions about energy and industrial gas supply
- Negotiate detailed purchase contracts with 3rd party suppliers
- Work with mill areas to develop supply plans
- Track and report gas material inventory and position to plan
