The Department of Neurological Surgery at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine is seeking a full-time, tenure-track Investigator at the Assistant Professor level, focusing on the interface of bioinformatics, machine learning, and medical sciences.

Research Focus

The role involves developing tools to analyze and interpret multi-modal biomedical data, including imaging and 'omics platforms, to establish relationships between data types and guide experiments using machine learning.

Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Biophysics/Physics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Quantitative/Computational Biology, or related fields.
  • Strong background in statistics and experience with machine learning algorithms.
  • Ability to extract datasets from publicly available sources and build analysis pipelines for 'omics data.
  • Fluency in R/Python is a plus.
