Role Overview: As a Y Head Start Resource Aide, you will collaborate with classroom teachers to support the educational and developmental needs of young children, including those with special needs. Your responsibilities include assisting with classroom routines, ensuring the safety and well-being of children, and fostering an environment conducive to social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and creative development. Your work will help prepare children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds for success in school and life.

Qualifications:

• Interest in early childhood education and well-being
• Enthusiasm, patience, good humor, and good judgment
• Experience working with children with special needs
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
• 90-hour child care certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• High school diploma or GED
