As a Medical Case Manager (LVN), you'll play a vital role in ensuring members receive high-quality, medically necessary care. You'll assess services for hospital, medical, and surgical needs based on clinical protocols—bringing compassion, precision, and purpose to every review.What You'll Do
- Assess medical service requests for appropriateness and necessity
- Process referrals, diagnostics, outpatient procedures, and home health services
- Partner with the team to support departmental goals and initiatives
- Prepare documentation for Medical Director review and communicate determinations
- Maintain thorough records in the utilization management system
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least 3 years of nursing experience, including 1 year as a nurse reviewer
- Equivalent education and experience may be considered
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year of concurrent (inpatient) review experience
Licensure/Certification
- Current, unrestricted LVN license to practice in California
