Position: Senior Health Consultant

Location: New York Region

Segal is a flexible hybrid organization seeking a Senior Health Consultant to join our team.

The Opportunity: The Consultant operates independently or as part of client teams, delivering a broad range of health benefits consulting services to Multiemployer, Public Sector, and/or Corporate/Single Employer organizations.

The Role: The role involves managing projects for medium-sized and/or complex cases, coordinating resources, and contributing to revenue growth by expanding existing projects and developing new client relationships. The Consultant also mentors junior staff and promotes a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage in client-facing projects involving design, development, and implementation of employee benefit plans.
• Develop advanced knowledge in advising on complex benefit topics.
• Demonstrate expertise in group benefits, funding mechanisms, claims analysis, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage complex projects, coordinate resources, and ensure quality work outputs.
• Engage with senior clients to align solutions with their needs.
• Identify opportunities for project extension and new business development.
• Contribute to firm's thought leadership and quality initiatives.

Key Requirements:

• At least 9 years of relevant experience in consulting or corporate benefits roles.
• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, or Health Policy.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

About Segal and Compensation:

Segal is a leading North American consulting firm with over 80 years of experience. The salary range for this position is $124,500 to $165,000, plus discretionary bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package including a pension plan, 401(k), health benefits, paid time off, and professional development support.
