Assist the executive director in administering a quality, AAALAC-i accredited program of animal care and use for animal research and production facilities. A Typical Day in the Role of Associate Director Might Look Like:Responsible for helping the executive director oversee all aspects of veterinary services. Oversight of staff veterinarians and veterinary technicians. Works cohesively and collaboratively with all veterinarians across Velocigene. Collaborates with veterinary pathologists within Regeneron. Collaborates cohesively with Vivarium Operations team. Assists researchers in design of their protocols. Assists in documentation preparation required for continued AAALAC-i accreditation. Develops SOPs and guidelines for all enrichment and veterinary care procedures. Assists with training programs for animal husbandry staff, veterinary technicians and research staff utilizing animals.
