Job Summary The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a federal work study student in the Auxiliary Services department on the Dahlonega campus. Student will help provide a safe and excellent guest experience for students, faculty, users, and patrons on behalf of university and non-university booking clients. Must be able to work evenings, and/or weekends as needed. Flexible schedules are available.
Responsibilities - Event scheduling, setup, management, and post-event breakdown.
- Help provide first class spectator and participant experiences for all events in the UNG Convocation Center and Dining Hall Banquet Room.
- Maintain and administer internal policies and procedures.
- Assist in the planning and execution of parking operations and logistics for special events.
- Available to work evenings, and/or weekends as needed. Flexible schedules are available.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Good communication and time management skills are assumed qualities of every successful candidate, as is a willingness to perform required manual labor (lifting, carrying, long periods of standing and/or walking), and other duties as assigned.
- Candidates should be comfortable interacting with large diverse crowds, willing to be a team player, follow through with tasks assigned to them, provide exceptional customer service, and demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Required Qualifications - Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
- A desired interest to work in event and facility management and highly motivated to represent UNG in a positive manner.
