Fleet Parts Warehouse AssociateDaily Duties: The warehouse associate will be responsible for loading and unloading boxes off trucks for part of the day. Pulling/Packing orders with a manual pick list, along with cycle counting of inventory.
- Moves parts, cases, crates, packaged merchandise, and other material about the warehouse, between loading and storage areas by means of operating hand trucks and a sit-down forklift.
- Making boxes, taping, packing orders with proper documentation are also essential functions. Stacking boxes on pallets, shrink wrapping, and moving products manually and/or with a hand pallet jack.
- Store merchandise in designated areas in the warehouse; pack and wrap merchandise as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This position is responsible for providing various warehousing functions including accurate processing of both inbound and outbound shipments. Has general responsibility for warehouse environment such as maintaining orderly and clean work and stocking areas. The individual in this position must work cooperatively with other associates with little supervision.
- Receive inbound shipments. Confirms shipment is received in good condition and that Bill of Lading quantities match delivered quantities.
- Loading and unloading of material may be by hand or using a sit-down forklift and hand pallet jacks.
- Opens and checks each incoming shipment to ensure quantity and type of received material matches vendors packing list as well as inspects cargo for exterior damage to packaging. Brings any discrepancies or visible damage to the attention of supervisor.
- Process outbound shipments. Processes pick request from sales group. Confirms material type and quantity picked matches pick request.
- Prepares material for shipment using banding, shrink wrap and handling tools.
- Assists supervisor regarding warehouse activity including material handling.
- Operates warehouse material handling equipment and reports any trouble equipment to supervisor.
- Assists management to identify when warehouse supplies (such as boxes, tape, pallets, labels, banding material etc.) need replenishment.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse and securing warehouse at the close of each workday.
- Other tasks related to stocked products as directed by management.
