ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS•Provide international and domestic shipping quotes for the sales and customer service departments•Keep in communication with the sales staff on the status of the shipments, ETD, ETA and shipping•Maintaining the Shipping Schedule.- Enter any important/special instructions for the orders, i.e. shortages, manual info, shipping info etc.•Expediting order shortages and communicating shortage information to the Production Group. •Work with freight companies to obtain competitive freight rates.•Once the shipment leaves: - Add the order to the ship report.- Scan all paperwork to file.•Must be able to communicate effectively, get along with co-workers, and deal with colleagues effectively and professionally.•A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required.SKILLS & ABILITIESComputer SkillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Inventory software; Manufacturing software; Order processing systems; Microsoft Excel and Word Processing software.Certificates & LicensesValid Michigan Driver's License.Ability to pass Hi-Lo Driver Exam and receive a Hi-lo License.OTHER REQUIREMENTS Prefer knowledge of company products and services.Prefer previous shipping knowledge.Must be detail oriented.
