JOB SUMMARY:
· The staff Pharmacist is responsible for providing medication therapy and management services in collaboration with other providers to assure that drug therapy is safe, effective, efficient and cost-effective
· Pharmacy services provided include interdisciplinary patient care rounds, medication reconciliation, medication therapy monitoring, medication orders management, patient education, drug information, drug dosing, and various other activities
· Performs both clinical and distributive tasks necessary to ensure that patients' medication therapy is safe, effective, timely and efficient
· May be asked to provide training and education to PharmD students through practical and didactic experiences
· Act independently within the scope of their license and areas of expertise with the help of general policies, procedures and practice guidelines with support from the Director of Pharmacy
· Ensures that patient care is maintained through compliance with the department's policies, rules and regulations promulgated by the Board of Pharmacy, and other applicable regulatory bodies
· Acts as Antimicrobial Stewardship Pharmacist as assigned

TRAINING & EDUCATION NEEDED:
· Graduate from an accredited college of Pharmacy
· Currently licensed as a pharmacist in the State of Nebraska or ability to obtain it within 3 months of hire
FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Able to communicate in the English language and make assessments by speaking, hearing, seeing, feeling, reading and writing
· Works primarily in hospital setting, including clinical/patient care areas and office or meeting areas
· Considerable walking, sitting, or standing for long periods of time
· Mental effort required to assess, plan and make recommended decisions in complex environment
· Potential to be exposed to blood/body fluids, including infectious diseases
· Must be able to maneuver throughout halls, stairways and patient rooms in response to emergencies
· Interpretation of environmental input requires visual and auditory skills
· In the event there is a need to evacuate the building, lifting will be required to transport patients to safety
· Significant amount of keyboarding and writing is required
· Wearing of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks, gowns and goggles may be required
· Fine motor skills
· Long periods of intense concentration
