Medical Laboratory Scientist

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist to support clinical testing operations in Portland, ME 04102. This traveler/Local role is based in a high-complexity lab and involves specimen analysis, quality control, and reporting in compliance with CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA standards.

Job Summary:

This generalist role involves specimen processing, test analysis, QC/QA compliance, and reporting in accordance with regulatory standards. Candidates must hold an ASCP certification and demonstrate strong clinical laboratory skills across multiple areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze patient specimens and perform testing per SOPs.
• Follow lab protocols for specimen handling, quality control, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot and report test performance issues.
• Maintain accurate records, reagent logs, and QA documentation.
• Communicate STAT or critical values to clients per policy.
• Attend trainings, stay updated on new procedures, and support inspections.

Requirements:

• BS in Medical Technology or related science (Biology, Chemistry) preferred
• National certification (ASCP or AMT) or eligible
• Minimum 1 year of clinical lab experience in high-complexity testing
• Strong knowledge of lab operations, QA/QC procedures, and safety guidelines
• Excellent multitasking and communication skills

• Location: Portland, ME 04102
• Schedule: Second Shift | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM EST | 40 hours/week.
• Length: 13 Week Contract
• Pay Rate: $55 - $59/ Hour

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
