Position Overview:

As a Temporary Store Clerk, you play a vital role as the point of contact for our customers. Your responsibilities include assisting with inventory, maintaining a clean and organized store, and delivering outstanding customer service to enhance the shopping experience.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Unload delivery trucks and manage incoming merchandise.
• Follow operational procedures to receive and unpack products; organize in stockroom or on sales floor.
• Build engaging merchandise displays to attract customers.
• Stock shelves, rotate products, and keep merchandise faced for optimal presentation.
• Help customers locate items to enhance their shopping experience.
• Maintain cleanliness by dusting, mopping, and disposing of trash.
• Greet customers warmly to create a welcoming store atmosphere.
• Operate the cash register; process transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with inventory management and order merchandise as needed.
• Support store-wide cleaning and setup of sidewalk displays as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Able to read and follow merchandising guidelines.
• Basic cash handling knowledge and mathematical skills.
• Experience with cash register operations preferred.

Work Experience and Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
