Job Title: Business-level Mandarin Speaker - Commercial Insurance Account Manager
Location: Palo Alto, California, United States - (Remote and travel to office several times per year)
Setup: Remote
Term: Fulltime and Permanent
Pay Ranges: $75,000 to $90,000 base pay + Bonus (depends on company revenue and personal performance)
NOTE:
- The client needs some with experience in Directors and Officers (D&O) Liability Insurance
- They are a start-up company, and the client is looking for someone who is motivated and willing to grow with the team.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive insurance brokerage and advisory services to a designated portfolio of corporate clients.
- Manage all aspects of general insurance, including new business acquisition, policy renewals, and claims handling.
- Possess the ability and willingness to obtain appointments with wholesalers and insurers on behalf of the company (preferred).
- Address client inquiries and oversee policy administration, ensuring smooth execution of insurance programs.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members to enhance overall service quality.
- Accompany management on client visits to foster and maintain strong client relationships.
- Support the planning and execution of marketing campaigns and promotional events to drive business growth.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
- Active California Property and Casualty Insurance License.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in commercial insurance and/or financial lines within an independent insurance agency setting.
- The client needs some with experience in Directors and Officers (D&O) Liability Insurance
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Mandarin (bilingual proficiency required). Business-level proficiency in English and Mandarin since this role requires frequent communication with the team in China, so fluency in Mandarin is essential
