POSITION OVERVIEW

ProGeorgia seeks a strategic and relationship-driven Strategy Co-Director for Partnerships to join our team. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Strategy Co-Director for Partnerships will lead efforts to cultivate, manage, and grow relationships with ProGeorgia's 62 partner organizations. This role will play a critical part in fostering collaboration, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and providing capacity-building support to partners and workgroups. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of civic engagement, coalition-building, and the needs of diverse, underrepresented communities. They will also have experience developing strategies that advance organizational goals, strengthen partnerships, and empower stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Strategy Co-Director for Partnerships reports to the Chief of Staff and is responsible for the following list of tasks:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partner organizations to ensure alignment with ProGeorgia's strategic goals.
  • Act as the primary liaison between ProGeorgia and its partners, providing regular updates, resources, and capacity-building support.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among partners to advance shared goals and campaigns.
  • Identify opportunities for new partnerships to strengthen the coalition and expand its reach.
  • Work with ProGeorgia leadership to design and implement initiatives that support partner organizations' civic engagement goals.
  • Lead strategic planning efforts for partner collaboration, ensuring goals are measurable and outcomes-driven.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive database of partner organizations, including their strengths, capacities, and programmatic focus.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of partnership initiatives, providing regular reports and recommendations to leadership.
  • Design and facilitate workshops, trainings, standard operation procedures (SOPs), and other professional development opportunities for partner organizations.
  • Provide guidance and technical assistance to partners on best practices in civic engagement, voter outreach, and coalition-building.
  • Work with ProGeorgia's Communications and Data teams to ensure partners have access to the tools and resources they need for success.
  • Represent ProGeorgia at events, conferences, and meetings with stakeholders, funders, and community leaders.
  • Collaborate with ProGeorgia staff to ensure alignment across departments and integration of partner feedback into organizational strategies.
  • Lead cross-departmental efforts to address challenges and advance initiatives that benefit partner organizations.
  • Lead facilitation of workgroup spaces to ensure the 9 workgroups remain collaborative, productive, and strategically aligned.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Skills:

  • A deep commitment to social and environmental justice aligns strongly with ProGeorgia's mission, values, and guiding principles.
  • Proven experience in nonprofit leadership, program management, strategic planning, and evaluation.
  • Track record of success working within communities of color, women and gender-oppressed communities, low-income individuals, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and other historically marginalized communities at the grassroots level.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience in fundraising, including grant writing and donor relations.
  • A collaborative mindset with a proven ability to build and nurture partnerships.
  • Knowledge of issues impacting historically underrepresented communities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and report-writing capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and relevant project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday.com).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence others at all levels of the organization.

Education and Skill Required

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred. Extensive experience in a similar role may be substituted.
  • Five years of experience managing team members

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.

Location: The position is based in Atlanta, Georgia, and offers a remote schedule.

Travel: Up to 25% statewide travel is required.

REPORT TO: Chief of Staff

COMPENSATION: Up to $110,00 annual salary with company-paid benefits, career growth, and professional development opportunities.
