Safety Manager – Data Center Construction

Location: Kent, WA

Compensation: $45.00–$50.00/hour local preferred nut if not will consider Per diem for traveler.

Employment Type: Full-Time | Immediate Start | 3-4 Month Project

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to support a high-profile data center construction project in Kent, Washington. This role requires a proactive safety leader with strong knowledge of construction safety regulations, standards, and best practices. The ideal candidate will hold relevant certifications (OSHA 30, OSHA 510, OSHA 500, CHST, CSP, etc.) and have the ability to lead site-wide Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) efforts in collaboration with project leadership.

This is a contract position with an immediate start and a project duration of approximately 3-4 months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all site EHS compliance efforts on a fast-paced, multi-trade construction project.
  • Conduct and document daily safety inspections and site audits.
  • Deliver site-specific safety orientations and training in English and Spanish.
  • Facilitate Daily Hazard Analysis (DHA) discussions and ensure proper implementation.
  • Support planning and execution of crane, rigging, and heavy equipment operations.
  • Lead incident and near-miss investigations, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with general contractor, subcontractors, and trade partners to drive a strong safety culture.
  • Analyze safety data to identify trends and implement proactive solutions.
  • Review contractor EHS plans and assist with the development of site-specific programs.
  • Monitor contractor performance for compliance with site safety expectations.
  • Ensure all personnel are properly trained and qualified for assigned tasks.
  • Serve as a liaison with the client's risk management and EHS teams.
  • Conduct ongoing safety training sessions and toolbox talks.
  • Support a positive reinforcement and recognition program to encourage safe behaviors.

Preferred Qualifications

✅ 7+ years of EHS experience, preferably on large-scale construction projects (data center experience highly preferred).

✅ Bilingual (English/Spanish) with the ability to lead meetings and trainings in both languages.

✅ OSHA 30 and OSHA 510 required; OSHA 500, CHST, CSP, ASP, or STSC strongly preferred.

✅ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).

✅ Strong computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

✅ Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
