The Program Manager is responsible for leading and managing multiple projects, meeting customer demands, achieving overall project timing, and meeting financial targets. You will be required to lead a project team from development through series production, acting as the primary point of communication between the customer and the project team.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Work together with internal management teams and customer management teams to plan, develop, control and direct the projects
- Lead across functions to ensure on time delivery of the right products that meet quality standards to the customer
- Coordinate ongoing analyses of projects and development activities to identify cost saving opportunities, quality improvements, and process improvements
- Support sales teams in presenting new technologies and products to existing customers and current products to potential new customers
- Provide technical direction and serve as the point of contact for design engineering and process/manufacturing engineering
- Learn and use the Marquardt Product Development Process
- Plan programs with multiple technical components, track budgets and timelines, and prepare/ present status reports for management
- Manage the Engineering Change Notice (ECNs) needed for the project(s), being the Gate Keeper of the ECN process
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ year of experience in Project/Program Management
- 5+ year of experience in Project/Development Engineering preferred
- Automotive industry experience
- Advanced skills managing projects, including planning and organizing, decision making, problem solving, delegating work, and developing employees
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Email, MRP software and PLM software is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required
- Strong Presentations skills. Must be able to present to large and small groups including project teams, management and customers
- Basic accounting and budgetary skills
